don't you just love coloured dirt!
happy travels and thank you for stopping by my blog today.
Love the deep browns. Our ochre pits in the N.Flinders Ranges range more from whit through yellow to a very bright red.
Stunning texturing and colours Carole .... A photographers delight.
Beautiful rocks with beautiful colors and whimsical shapes.
Well photographed, Carole.
Hi Carole! How far do you travel to capture these great adventures? (I remember learning the word "ochre" when it was one of the original colors in a box of Crayons!)
You have seen amazing places in the outback! Wonderful photos!!! Thanks for the virtual tour!!!
Gorgeous pictures, great scenery and I love those rock formations.
Very impressive these colors and cliffs!
EVELYN: 21st June was my first post here for the beginning of my Alice Springs, N.T. tour over ten days. It explains all, so I hope you might like to check it out, and any subsequent posts that I've been uploading on this blogspot since then. It was a totally fabulous journey; I just LOVED what I saw ....and have shared it here.

What a beautiful and interesting place, Carole.
The color in those rocks is really gorgeous.
Fascinating. Wish I was there. I'm glad you let a few people walk into your pictures as it gave a good size reference for the cliffs.
Those colours are amazing.
Lovely landscape, lovely pictures!
The Ochre Pits, they are wonderful, and colourful.
Such a fascinating tour this must have been to this amazing area. Know you must have had a great time! Really enjoying your second blog Carole!
Amazing countryside. An artist's palette.
Beautiful photos and the colours of the rocks are gorgeous. We have something similar here on the Isle of Wight, but the colours are more pastel rather than the earthy tones in your rocks. Lovely!
