making it to the Moss Garden in the Gorge

Last post we stepped across the river stones at Carnarvon Creek, and have walked way beyond.  The group has been trekking towards the Moss Garden.

You can just make out more steps to the right of the rock pillar

 this is promising

it was so lovely and cool

Oh yes, when you mentioned Moss Garden in your previous post I was keeping an eye out ;D)
This is just a most spectacular place, so special. I bet you took so many photos Carole.
Can imagine the smells - so rich and earthy.
We didn't visit this area during our bus travels so it's a pure delight to be seeing it through your eyes, thank you :D)

That photo of the rock wall towering above the tree ferns is stunning!

I was walking through Lamington National Park the other day when a strange thought popped into my head - sure, we can try identify trees, but there must be many different species of moss and where does one start with identification there? I'm certainly not game to try, so all I can say about your moss garden photos is that they are lovely! :)

Such a beautiful and peaceful looking place this is. Don't you love moss when you get right up close to it. Sometimes seeing the tiny little flowers that grow up out of it. nearly need a magnifying glass to see it. Looks like a alovely spot to visit!

What a beautiful location, Carole! That pool in the rock is amazing...as is all the moss. You are definitely a "traveler-with-camera."

I hope I'm not duplicating my comments...when I tried to post, Blogger crashed. I did say that I love this magical place you have recorded in photos. That pool in the rock is amazing, as is all the moss.
