Cattle Station at Rolleston, Carnarvon Gorge, Qld

a 6th generation changeover occurred recently to daughter Olivia, and her husband, Nathan.  Olivia spoke about Bandana's history, and  being in their first year of 'going organic' with cattle-raising, while we sat on long logs with our choice of wine, beer, or juice ...and nibblies.

Slowly the sun went down over the hills behind us, and cast changing lights and shadows over the gorge ahead of us

5th generation, Olivia's Dad, Bruce, with such interesting stories of the early day cattle-duffers (cattle thieves), and more..

also a singer, song-writer,

Bruce sang his lovely song ... about moving on

I loved your cattle station visit carole and your shots are great! I visited quite a few of your back posts yesterday, but for some reason, was only able to comment on the first one. Loving your trip. Hugs to you from Texas!

Beautiful pictures, Carole.
Nature is so beautiful.
Picture 3 with the long shadows is beautiful, just like picture 4 with the sun on the mountains.
Greetings Irma

Rugged gorge country. Quite stunning.
I like the long shadows in the 3rd photo.
It sounded like a really nice and relaxed way to hear the history of the area :D)

Love the look of that country. The shadow shot is great. First thing I thought of - Easter Island.

That guitar photo looks like it should be an album cover! The scenery is fantastic too - I bet you couldn't wait to get into the bush with your camera!

This really does look a nice place to visit.
The scenery is very 'Australian'.
