bush walk wildflowers...in the pink

A follow-on from yesterday's white flower post.

Kennedia

Eriostemon

tucked away like this, with a Flannel-Flower alongside.  I'd say another two to three weeks and there'll be more to see, in flower

..one of my favourites, also known as Pink Wax Flower.  It seems to thrive in this sandy-soil, coastal bushland environment.

another view of the 'controlled burn-off' (yesterday's post), by National Parks

a delicate little orchid close to the ground

in the late afternoon sun, a Native Fuchsia, Correa, with seed-heads

the sun has bought about pink tones to the Hardenbergia, often known as the Happy Wanderer.  The serrated leaves belong to a Banksia though.

it really is a blue-tone/purple flower.

Beautiful series of pictures, Carole.
Photo 8 and 9 are my favorite.

Gorgeous color! The flowers really pop against the drab background.

I look forward to seeing more of your wildflowers Carole. Each area has their own different species. These are beautiful. At least you know the names of them, unfortunately I only know the common ones, but I am learning thanks to an 84 year old who likes to share his knowledge of the local area.

What a beautiful welcome to your spring season! These (and the flowers below) are all amazing (and mostly different completely from what we'd see ...even if it were spring!) I snuck over here from your bird blog, where I'd already commented. However, I would be happy to visit there every day because of the wonderful fairy wrens in your header shot.

Glad I found you here too though!
