a walking trek across Carnarvon Creek, Central Qld

most the walks our group of twenty-three went on, meant trekking over rocks across the creek.  These ones were well spaced, and reasonably flat.

while some  weren't so user-friendly, and random river-stones would tend to 'tip' as you put your foot on them - step tentatively!

our local walking guide Simon Ling, has rescued a Giant Mealybug from the pathway

he checks out this crossing, for some in our group were planning a different walk the following day

another creek crossing as Simon was taking us ahead, to the Moss Gardens

so there's time to look up now while waiting in line

and amazing trees all around

..and lots of palms reaching for the sky

so that's why I'm sharing this post with Skywatch Friday!

There was the day I wouldn't have given that boulder crossing a second thought. Today, they get a lot of my attention. I would have thoroughly enjoyed that hike. Thanks for bringing us along.

First stepping stone path looks like a chinch...not so with that second one...hope you didn't fall in! The Mealybug has such pretty pastel coloring...never saw one of these. TFS Carole - great to share with your journey!

Those trees are amazing. Beaut walks you've been having and your guide seems very interested in showing off this beautiful part of Australia.
