Carole, fantastic closeups of the Orangutan! They are neat critters. Great series! Thank you for sharing your post with the critter party. Have a happy weekend!
Dearest Carole M; Wow; I've never seen Orangatang's clear face (closeup)and I AM sure he/she was enjoying the ice block 'under hot weather(maybe)'. I wwonder how smart they are:-)
Sending you Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
Lovely shot of the big fella. I tried to send you a comment re the meaning of feral... both your email addresses are now bouncing. Basically feral refers to introduced species that have escaped into the wild... so domestic pigeons, cats, foxes, Norwegian rats are feral but native animals are not feral in Australia... however where they have escaped in other countries (eg budgies in the US, wallabies in the UK) they qualify as feral.
thanks Maggie for your explanation on the word 'feral' relating to the Pigeon post on my other blog Snap Happy Birding. No idea why the email addy should bounce, but wonder had you tried using the comment form on either blog and this was happening?
