This photo also sent to me from Maggie. If you've been looking at my last post on Snap Happy Birding, you will have already seen her pics of the wonderful
Brahminy Kite.
I know there's many butterfly blog-posters on the other side of the world who're sure to enjoy this very handsome dragonfly. Maybe, with any luck, someone perhaps from Northern Qld., will also be able to let me know the name of this one, which was photographed recently at Emerald Creek.

Hi, Know how you love dragonflies... isn't this just the coolest dragonfly ever? And my new Canon sx50 let me zoom in enough to get the photo. cheers, maggie
Ok trying again now that i have a google account. I am glad everybody enjoyed my Brahminy Kite photos. I think this blue dragonfly is just about the coolest dragonfly I have ever seen. You are a great fan of dragonflies.... what do you think?
goodo Maggie; you made it to Google/comments; hurray! I wondered if you had the x50 camera when I looked up the exif data it seemed to indicate that. And yes I am a dragonfly fan from way back, it even forms a part of my email address. it is a super dragonfly.
Oh my! Isn't that just exquisite!
Well done Maggie :)
What a wonderful color combination. I hope and think, that´s a male model. :-)
Best regards, Synnöve
